It is a worldwide game. A fun social experiment. A more interesting network. It is not confined within a physical space. For the love of people and books and adventure. It is future pandemic. It is the pmbc/library.
How it works: Every first weekend of the month, participants release books into the wild, by “forgetting” them in public places, such as restaurants, buses churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, bars, parks, offices, lifts, malls, shops, police stations, airports, ports and pans and so on.
Then other people find the books, read them, comment on them on facebook and twitter, and “forget” them elsewhere, and so forth. Hoping those who find the books play along.
Then we wait to see what happens. It will be quite cool for books to show up in interesting places with interesting people far away. Maybe we can all be friends. Meanwhile, enjoy our home-made podcast at pmbc.co.ke, where it all began!
